Thanks to Healthy Living…again

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010
The 9 youth who live at the SRO will be starting a 5 week cooking class offered by Healthy Living. Eli Lesser-Goldsmith presented Spectrum with his idea of having youth participate in a cooking class at their community (state of the art) kitchen space and we could not say no to the opportunity. The youth will learn about healthy and fun cooking while having the opportunity to share a meal together with Healthy Living Staff. Nina Lesser- Goldsmith will be the teacher for the class and Spectrum and the youth at the SRO are really looking forward to this great opportunity. Thanks Healthy Living!
p.s. Eli also offered us all the plates and dinnerware from their cafe since they are changing theirs, we gladly accepted, will look great in our drop-in center.

Attorney Tony Lamb comes through again for us

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

Tony is a lawyer in Williston, he was at one time a board member at Spectrum.  Every year he teaches a seminar for the Chittenden County Bar Association, and instead of accepting payment, he asks attendees to write a check to Spectrum.  $1,400 just came in the door, a huge help to us right now.

Many thanks to Tony for his faithful support of our work.
